SiteGround launches AI Store Agent for ecommerce merchants
SiteGround's AI Store Agent lets eCommerce merchants access insights and perform store tasks via chat-powered automation.
SiteGround has launched an AI Store Agent for businesses using SiteGround eCommerce, adding a chat-based tool designed to answer questions about store performance and carry out selected management tasks.
The new tool allows merchants to retrieve store information through AI-assisted commands, including details such as average order value and top-selling product categories. It also supports natural-language requests for creating new brands and products.
For store actions that involve making changes, SiteGround said the agent includes a feature called Power Mode. Through that mode, businesses can create and manage products, coupons, customer accounts and brands directly from the chat interface. Power Mode is disabled by default, which the company said gives store owners control over when the agent can make changes.
The launch also comes with a redesigned SiteGround eCommerce dashboard. According to the company, the updated interface brings together store setup information, frequently used actions and the AI Store Agent in one place. The dashboard also shows outstanding setup tasks and provides Quick Actions for commonly used functions.
"Running an online store involves a constant stream of small administrative decisions that can take time away from the work that drives the business forward. We built the AI Store Agent to make those day-to-day interactions with store data and operations more accessible, so business owners can spend less time figuring out where to find information or how to handle routine tasks and more time focusing on their customers and business", said Reneta Tsankova, COO of SiteGround.
SiteGround described the launch as part of its broader ecommerce platform offering for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
