Photoroom launches Shopify app support on Android
Photoroom launches its Shopify AI Listing Assistant on Android, completing cross-platform support for merchants.
Photoroom has extended its Shopify app support to Android, completing cross-platform availability for merchants using the tool on mobile and web.
The company said the Android release means mobile-first sellers can manage listings entirely from their phones. Photoroom for Shopify now operates across Android, iOS and web, with products able to be captured on mobile, refined on desktop and managed across devices through a shared catalog engine and a single source of truth.
Dan Spooner, Product Lead at Photoroom, said: "For most independent retailers, creating product listings isn’t difficult because they can’t take a good photograph. It’s difficult because it’s one of the most repetitive parts of running an online business. Every product needs images, descriptions, organisation and publishing across multiple channels.
"We’ve spent years helping merchants create better images. The next step is helping them build better listings, and with today’s Android launch, that’s something any seller can now do entirely from their phone."
Shopify is Photoroom’s first commerce platform connection, according to the company, and is part of a broader roadmap to add more ecommerce platform connections over time.
The launch comes as retailers seek enterprise-quality content production without enterprise-scale creative teams or budgets, the company said. It also pointed to results reported by customers already using Photoroom in commerce workflows, including UK retailer Layer, which increased its online sales by 50 per cent, US workwear brand Ameliora, which improved its conversion rate by 30 per cent, and fashion retailer Palm Angels, which launched a full capsule collection in four days.
The Android release marks the final step in making Photoroom for Shopify available across the company’s web, iOS and Android platforms.
